Yes, really. This is my faith:
God exists. He made the whole universe including you and me and he loves us. We were made so we could have a perfect relationship with him
There’s loads of evidence for the existence of God: in creation, historical evidence (both in and out of the bible), but most of all by the person Jesus Christ.
2000 years ago God sent his son Jesus to become a human. He gave evidence of who he really was throughout his life: through his teaching, miracles, but most of all by coming back to life after being put to death.
As God is our creator he really deserves our respect! But none of us have given that to him: we’ve all done things he says are wrong and we’ve lived as if he doesn’t exist. And because of this we can’t have that perfect relationship with him and deserve to be fairly punished.
But – God knows we’re rubbish and loves us so much that he still wants to have that perfect relationship with him. So, he set up a rescue plan – which is why he sent Jesus. Jesus was crucified, basically to take our place, to take our punishment for the stuff we’ve done wrong. And because of this we can have that perfect relationship with God that we were made for, we just have to accept that and put God first in our lives.
If we hear this and ignore it or choose to reject it, we can’t have that perfect relationship with God, so when we die we won’t be able to be in his presence and we will go to the only alternative, hell.
But if hear this and stop rebelling we CAN have that relationship with God. Even better than that he will forgive us for everything we’ve ever done and treat us like it never happened. He will treat us like his children and give us the Holy Spirit which will help us live as renewed people. And when we die we will be able to go to heaven.
It’s our choice, we have to make it.
